Homologación Translation Checklist for Spain
If you are applying for homologación in Spain, your foreign academic documents will usually need to be submitted in Spanish or accompanied by an official sworn translation into Spanish. For university-level recognition, homologación is used for foreign higher-education degrees that are being recognized as Spanish degrees giving access to a regulated profession in Spain.
What Homologación Usually Means
Homologación is generally the route for degrees tied to professions that are formally regulated in Spain. That is different from equivalencia, which is usually for academic recognition without the same professional effects.

Which Documents Commonly Need Sworn Translation?
You will often need sworn translation for your degree certificate, transcript, course descriptions or subject breakdowns if requested, professional certificates or training records if requested, and supporting identity or civil documents when required in the file.
If your documents were issued outside Spain, they may also need legalization or an Apostille before submission.
